学校生活

19日は修了式や大掃除、中学３年生の卒業ミサに参加しました。
日本の学校行事に初めて参加し、ホームルームクラスでは多くの生徒が姉妹校の生徒と話したいと群れをなしていました。

19th, they participated in the graduation ceremony, cleaning, and the graduation mass for the third-year junior high school students.
It was their first time participating in Japanese school events, and in homeroom class, many students were excited to talk with students from our sister school.

20日は、ご家庭でそれぞれ過ごしていました。
ディズニーランドに行ったり、新宿でお買い物など、さまざまな過ごし方をしていました。

On the 20th, everyone spent time differently at home.
Some went to Disneyland, while others went shopping in Shinjuku, enjoying various activities.

21日は東京ツアーとして、浅草、上野、秋葉原に行きました。
日本の伝統的な風景を楽しみ、日本食も楽しんでいました。グループに分かれて、探索していました。姉妹校の生徒から日本について聞かれた時には、率先して英語で説明をしていました。
浅草、上野では、浅草寺や仲見世通り、庭園など日本古来の伝統が感じられる体験をしました。
秋葉原では、海外にある日本の有名なお店でショッピングを楽しんでいました。

On the 21st, as part of the Tokyo tour, we visited Asakusa, Ueno, and Akihabara.
We enjoyed traditional Japanese scenery and cuisine, splitting into groups to explore.
When asked about Japan by students from our sister school, I took the initiative to explain in English.
In Asakusa and Ueno, we experienced traditional Japanese culture like Sensoji Temple, Nakamise Street, and gardens.
In Akihabara, we enjoyed shopping at famous Japanese stores popular overseas.

22日には、お台場、原宿に行きました。
お台場の日本科学未来館では、知見を広げ、ゲームに一緒に取り組んでいました。ともに学びあい、助け合ってゲームを楽しんでいました。
お台場周辺をグループに分かれて散策し、午後には原宿に行きました。
竹下通りの人の多さに圧倒されつつも、日本のポップカルチャーを楽しんでいました。

On the 22nd, we went to Odaiba and Harajuku.
At the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Odaiba, we expanded our knowledge and played games together.
We split into groups to explore around Odaiba, then went to Harajuku in the afternoon.
Despite being overwhelmed by the crowds on Takeshita Street, we enjoyed Japanese pop culture.

23日はあっという間にお別れの日です。それぞれのホストファミリーが空港まで送迎し、最後の時間を一緒に過ごしていました。また会える日を楽しみにして、お別れをしました。
日常英語や異文化体験のみならず、素敵な交流ができ、生徒も成長できた一週間であったと思います。

The 23rd came too quickly, it was time to say goodbye.
Each host family took us to the airport, spending our last moments together.
We said goodbye, looking forward to the day we can meet again.
It was a week of not only everyday English and cultural experiences but also wonderful exchanges, allowing students to grow.
