In preparation for our upcoming physics exams, the 11AG Physics class conducted an exam showing the exothermic reaction of magnesium ribbons and heat. The experiment showcased how the chemical energy of the bonds converted into light energy and as a result a flash of light was emitted. This phenomenon is very similar to the light emitted by the wands in Harry Potter. The students were tested on their ability to conduct an experiment safely whilst investigating on the concept of exothermic reactions. An excellent demonstration that showcases conservation of energy and a memorable lesson for the students.

間近に迫った物理の試験に備え、Y11AG物理クラスでは、マグネシウムリボンと熱の発熱反応を示す実験を行いました。この実験では、結合の化学エネルギーが光エネルギーに変換され、その結果として閃光が放出される様子が示されました。この現象は、ハリー・ポッターに登場する杖から安全に放出される光と非常によく似ています。生徒たちは、発熱反応の概念を探究しながら、実験を行う能力を試されました。エネルギー保存の法則を示す優れたデモンストレーションであり、生徒たちにとって記憶に残る授業となりました。
