I am very proud of my junior class this week. Starting with a zero base English, they tried their first all-English discussion on one of the most important issues in our time: the effects of climate change.

After spending weeks studying the complex interconnections of natural processes, and how they create and influence climates, it was time to put that knowledge to the test. Students selected a specific climate zone and applied what they learned to predict exactly how it will be impacted by a warming planet.

I was very impressed with their efforts, preparation, and the thoughtfulness of their answers. I hope to see them continue these skills and become active 21st century leaders in climate!
